Vintage en Vogue Welcomes Over 275 to Sixth Annual Event

ASHEBORO - Vintage en Vogue, the Randolph Health Community Foundation’s fashion show fund raiser, hit the runway on Thursday, February 1, 2018 in front of a sold-out crowd of more than 275. Avant-garde fashions found in area consignment stores and thrift shops combined with cutting edge hair designs as 22 of Randolph County’s most fashionable residents walked the stage to benefit the Foundation.

“The support we’ve received from our community is, once again, overwhelming,” said April Thornton, President of the Randolph Health Community Foundation. “Not only have all the area thrift stores and consignment shops helped dress our models, but the team from Studio 120 has lent their talents to help with hair designs and Klaussner Home Furnishings has again allowed us to use their fabulous showroom space. This is truly a community effort.”

Through ticket sales and sponsorships, early indications show that funds raised through Vintage en Vogue 2018 will top $12,000. These funds will be used to award grants to Randolph County non-profit organizations whose projects focus on the areas of nutrition, substance abuse or physical fitness.

Lane Ragsdale, Creative Director for Vintage en Vogue, was also the emcee for the event and introduced the models as they appeared on the runway. Each model appeared in fashions highlighting day wear/career wear, date night and, as an exciting finale, Kentucky Derby fashions.

“We knew our stylists were looking for an interesting challenge this year,” said Fran Knapp, Chair of the Vintage en Vogue Committee. “When our committee met to talk about the event, we thought giving the stylists the opportunity to put fun Kentucky Derby-style hats together would spark their creativity. We certainly weren’t disappointed.”

The Vintage en Vogue 2018 models were Donna Allen, Pat Allred, Waynette Araj, Shea Davidson, Meghan Fede, Johnathon Gilbreath, Wallis Gorden, Ken Grady, Corinne Hughes, Lonnie Keogh, Wendy Leonard, Emily Martin, Shane Morgan, Aaron Murray, Patrick O’Hara, Marcelo Pariz, Trip Pickel, Kyle Pugh, Alex Robolledo, Dr. Lance Sisco, Shannon Whitaker and Logan Winslow.

The stylists for Vintage en Vogue 2018 were Suzanne Bryant, Mandy Carter, Jessica Coltrane, Gail Crawford, Lucy Grady, Kelly Green, Rachel Harper, Christie Luckenbach, Jake Millikan, Sheri Millikan and Mary Wilhoit.
