ASHEBORO – Angela Burgess, Chief Information Officer at Randolph Health, was recently recognized as one of the Most Powerful Women in Healthcare Information Technology (IT). Burgess was one of 34 selected in the healthcare provider organization category. Furthermore, she was the sole recipient in North Carolina in that category.

A total of 75 leaders in healthcare information technology were named to Health Data Management’s second annual list of the Most Powerful Women in Healthcare IT across all categories. Health Data Management solicited nominations from its readers and Health Data Management editors submitted recommendations as well, based on their knowledge of the industry. The editorial staff then reviewed each candidate’s qualification and decided on the final list.
