Randolph Health Reroutes Patients and Visitors - Closes Visitor Entrance

ASHEBORO –   Randolph Health continues to take the necessary steps to keep staff, physicians, patients and visitors safe when coming on to the health system campus. Effective on Wednesday, March 18th, at 5 a.m. patients and visitors can no longer enter the facility through the Visitor Entrance located off of the 3rd level access of the parking deck.

Patients and visitors will need to enter through the Outpatient Center Monday – Friday between the hours of 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. After 5 p.m. and on the weekend, patients and visitors need to enter through the Emergency Department located at 364 White Oak St.

This measure is another step Randolph Health is taking to contain unnecessary access to the campus and to create a flow pattern in which it can also ensure that the additional visitor restrictions are followed. Those restrictions include: patients coming to Randolph Health are restricted to only having two visitors (immediate family), no children under 12 years of age unless they are receiving treatment and those who are displaying any flu-like symptoms, such as fever, cough or sore throat.

This enhanced visitation is being strictly enforced as it will help control the spread of respiratory illnesses such as COVID-19 (Coronavirus) and to protect the health of our patients, their loved ones and our medical staff.

This is a rapidly evolving situation and Randolph Health will continue to take the necessary steps to help control the spread of the virus as necessary.
