Randolph Health Postpones Non-Essential Procedures

ASHEBORO –   Following the guidelines from the U.S. Surgeon General and the American College of Surgeons, Randolph Health will suspend all non-essential procedures and surgeries starting on Friday, March 20, 2020. Any essential services will continue under the discretion of the physician and patient. Randolph Health Endoscopy Center is also postponing all screening colonoscopies.

Services postponed include non-essential procedures such as screening colonoscopies and screening mammograms. Suspending these appointments will minimize the risk of spreading COVID-19 among patients, visitors and health care providers. It also allows us to conserve critical resources and focus care on those that need it most.

Patients who fall into this category will receive communication from their health care provider with further instructions. If patients have specific questions, they should reach out to their health care provider to understand how this decision will impact their appointment or procedure.

This is a rapidly evolving situation and Randolph Health will continue to take the necessary steps to help control the spread of the virus as necessary.
