Healthy eating and exercise can sometimes seem like a burden, but it doesn’t have to be. It can be as simple as choosing an apple over a cupcake or walking for 10 minutes instead of sitting. Besides helping manage weight, healthy eating and exercise can also help lower your risk for diabetes, high blood pressure and even cancer.
Karen Pfohl, RD, LDN, clinical dietitian at Randolph Cancer Center, will host a community seminar called Fight Cancer with Your Fork – Holiday Style. The event will be held on Thursday, November 10th from 5:30 – 6:30 p.m. in the Private Dining Room at Randolph Hospital. Participants are invited to learn about how to alter some traditional holiday meals making them more healthful - while still tasting fantastic. During her presentation, Pfohl will demonstrate a healthy and delicious holiday dish. Participants will have a chance to taste the dish and take the recipe home with them.
