What Are Your Genes Telling You?

Genetic mutations can help identify an increased risk of getting certain cancers. Genetic testing can reveal such mutations and Randolph Cancer Center is set to hold a free, informative discussion about genetic testing on Thursday, October 9, from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m. in the Private Dining Room at Randolph Hospital.

Crystal Fogleman, RN, Kelli Mosher, PA-C, and Sherry Tate, RN, will discuss risk factors and how gene mutations can indicate an increased likelihood of getting certain types of cancer. They will also discuss how genetic testing works, what’s involved and answer any questions on the subject. The event includes one-on-one counseling based on a risk factor assessment form filled out at the beginning of the event.
