Free Colon Cancer Screening

Colorectal cancer, often referred to as colon cancer, affects both men and women and is the second leading cause of cancer-related deaths in the United States and the third most common type of cancer diagnosed in men and women. The risk of developing colorectal cancer increases with age. More than 90 percent of cases occur in people 50 or older. But there is an easy way to lower your risk of colon cancer!

The Free Colon Cancer Screening is designed to provide participants with some resources and tools to help lower the risk of colon cancer. Participants will receive valuable education about colon cancer and ways to prevent it, view a hands-on colon-friendly meal demonstration and receive a free (FIT Test) used to screen for colon cancer.

As part of this screening, participants will receive a FREE fecal immunochemical test (FIT). This tool is used as a screening test for colon cancer. Following a brief education, participants will take the test home, where it can be conducted in privacy. Once samples are collected, participants will return the test as instructed in the kit. Results will be mailed directly to each participant.
